Kyle Cooper is known as the most successful modern designer of motion picture title sequences. He has made title sequences for films like Spider-Man 2 , Dawn of the dead , Incredible Hulk. He has also done title sequences for games like Metal Gear Golid Sons Of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater. Kyle Cooper is the founder of two internationally recognized film design companies Imaginary Forces and prologue films.
This is our opening sequence story board. These are some of the ideas we came up with to put into our opening sequence. The whole group sat down and dicussed what we should do and everyone was happy with the end result. However we did not get to use every idea on our storyboard because we could not fit it in.
The rating of our film is going to be rated a 15 because the is mild violence and sexual scenes but nothing to graffic or over the top so this is an apropriate rating for the film.
The editing of our peice i would say went rather well we had a few hicups while trying to tweek certain bits to our film but we got there in the end. The only majour problem we came across with editing our film was trying to get a certain bit of our song to match a slow motion bit in our film. Other than that editing went smoothly. We edited our film using i movie we chose to use i movie becuase we felt it was easier to use.
We used 3 different locations for our production peice. The first location was welling school we used this location because we needed a school scene so we just used our own school to save time. The second location we used was Connors house.We used his house for the waking up scene for Kirsty. The third location was Jordans house we used her house for her waking up and getting dressed scene.
There wasn't many props used in our production because we didnt really need many. We used a pair of no lense glasses for the geek some school books. For the beuty the main prop was make up because she was applying it in one of our scenes.
Our target audience for our opening title sequence was aimed at teenagers. We chose teenagers because we felt as a group that was the best audience for this peice and because we are teenagers ourselves.We felt that if we targeted teenagers as an audience we would get more of an honest reaction because teenagers say what they feel without hesitation. Another reason why we chose teenagers as an audience is because we dont really know how to appeal to an adult audience and some adults may not relate to the story as teenagers would so it was easier for us to appeal to people our own age. Also because our film is inspired by Kidulthood it would of been stupid not to aim our film at teenagers
The lighting at the begging of the film is very dark and gloomy which straight away gives you the impression that the film is going to be a very dark and mysterious film.
The lighting of the murder scene at the beginning of the film is lighted in a specific well thought out way. There is a lamp hanging from the cealing wich makes the light cast a dark gloomy shaddow around the body and on morgan freemans face. This emphasises the darkness of the film. The building is a run down new york apartment which shows the dark side of new york not the glamourous shopping yellow taxis we see on the tv.
The character morgan freeman plays is a very smart well thought calculating individual who has been in the game for years and has seen some horrible things. Where as bradd pitt plays the eager young cocky rookie who thinks he knows everything after only a few years in the business. The scene of them walking down the street after leaving the murder scence shows straight away they are in a battle of power. Both of them walk in front of each other but morgan free man ends up being the one in front in the end to show that he is the one in charge and not bradd pitt the rookie.
